Water from the sky, Rain

Is rain a medium that would chill our earth? It is true that water has the ability to absorb heat and its heat capacity is kinda huge. If the sprinkling rain are cold water, definitely earth can be chilled. 

What if the rain water turned hot? We will be like living hell ><

Yet so far, the global warming hasn't change this medium of ours and the earth is still safe.

Snow is even better^^
